An Abridged Sherlock Holmes Adventure
Among the orginal 12 stories first published by The Strand Magazine. After the success of his first two novels featuring Sherlock Holmes, Conan Doyle had been approched by this new magazine to serialize his next novel. Instead, he would submit 12 short stories. Which were later collected under the title The Adentures of Sherlock Holmes. This was the sixth story in that collection, published in the July edition in 1891.
