
Donald Altman is the author of the new book, Simply Mindful Reflections: 101 Daily Reflections for Joy, Hope & Healing. Donald is a psychotherapist, former Buddhist monk, international mindfulness expert and award-winning author of over 20 books which have been translated worldwide. Featured as an expert in The Mindfulness Movie and profiled in the Living Spiritual Teachers Project, he currently writes Practical Mindfulness Blog for Psychology Today. His best-selling The Mindfulness Toolbox won two national publishing Ben Franklin IPBA awards. His books, Clearing Emotional Clutter and The Mindfulness Code, were both selected as one of “The Best Spiritual Books of the Year” by Spirituality & Practice. His spiritual adventure novel, Travelers, was honored as a recipient of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Donald has been an adjunct professor at both Portland State University and the Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. As the past Vice-President of The Center for Mindful Eating, he pioneered the field of mindful eating. As a workshop trainer, he taught mindfulness to over 15,000 health care and business professionals.
